Moody’s gives Kimberly-Clark notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to Kimberly-Clark Corp.’s proposed $300 million of senior unsecured notes 10-year notes and $250 million of senior unsecured five-year notes.

The outlook is stable.

Net proceeds will be used to repay debt.

Moody’s said the A2 senior unsecured and Prime-1 short-term debt ratings reflect Kimberly-Clark’s sizable global scale and strong market position in paper, health and hygiene-related consumer products. The rating is also supported by the company's strong cash flow, and its public commitment to a single-A rating, the agency said.
