S&P gives A to Kimberly-Clark notes

S&P said it assigned an A issue-level rating to Kimberly-Clark Corp.'s planned senior unsecured notes with the final amount and maturity to be determined.

Kimberly-Clark’s A issuer and senior unsecured ratings are unchanged, S&P said.

Kimberly-Clark is expected to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including to repay a portion of its commercial paper. The agency said it considers the offering to be leverage neutral.

The outlook is negative.
