S&P assigns A-2 short-term to Amphenol unit

S&P said it affirmed its BBB+ long-term and A-2 short-term corporate credit ratings on Amphenol Corp.

The outlook is stable.

In addition, the agency affirmed the BBB+ rating on Amphenol's senior unsecured notes.

At the same time, the agency assigned its A-2 short-term corporate credit rating to subsidiary Amphenol Technologies Holding Gmbh.

S&P said the affirmation reflects the company's position as a leading manufacturer of interconnect and sensor solutions, and broad end market and customer diversification.

These factors have led to consistent operating performance and cash flow generation over the past few years, and partly offset the main business risks facing the company, the agency said.
