Fitch rates Kielce BBB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned the Polish City of Kielce long-term foreign- and local-currency ratings of BBB- and affirmed Kielce's national long-term rating at A-(pol).

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect Kielce's satisfactory budgetary performance, growing local economy, which will have a positive impact on future municipal taxes and its low debt, the agency said.

However, Fitch said, the ratings also take into account Kielce's limited flexibility on operating expenditure, especially in education and liabilities in the health care sector that need to be settled by the city.
