Moody's may up Kia Motors

Moody's Investors Service said it placed Kia Motors Corp.'s Baa3 issuer rating on review for possible upgrade.

The rating action mainly reflects increased upward pressure on Kia's standalone Ba2 rating, resulting from a continued improvement in the company's financial profile, the agency said. The improvement is in turn underpinned by its strengthened product line-up and brand equity.
