Khazanah repurchases $48 million of exchangeable sukuks due 2023

Chicago, Nov. 28 – Khazanah Nasional Bhd. announced the early repurchase of $48 million of its exchangeable sukuks on Nov. 21.

The company canceled the repurchased trust certificates on Nov. 24.

After the purchase, there are $239,692,000 of the certificates outstanding out of the original $320.8 million.

As reported at the time of issuance, the exchangeable sukuks are tied to Citic Securities Co. Ltd.’s H shares issued through Cindai Capital Ltd., an independent special-purpose vehicle.

Khazanah is the sovereign wealth fund of the Government of Malaysia.
