Ampex shareholders to monitor company performance, board nominations

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 20 - A group of Ampex Corp. shareholders led by ValueVest High Concentration Master Fund, Ltd voiced concern over the company's financial results and operational performance in an amended schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The group owns 341, 436 shares, or 7.8%, of Ampex common stock.

ValueVest said it plans to continue to engage in discussions with Ampex management and possibly Ampex board members regarding the company's direction and board nominations.

Ampex is a Redwood City, Calif., technology licensing company.
