KfW readies long seven-year benchmark green bond offer

Chicago, June 27 – KfW (Aaa/AAA/AAA) is preparing a benchmark-size offering of long seven-year green bonds, according to a market source.

The bank has given the mandate to Barclays, BNP Paribas, BofA Securities and DZ Bank as lead managers.

The euro-denominated bonds will be used to finance new eligible green projects.

The company’s green bond framework has received a second opinion from Cicero Shades of Green.

The bonds will be guaranteed by the Federal Republic of Germany.

KfW is a government-backed bank based in Frankfurt.
