Fleetwood Enterprises receives court's OK to sell two Oregon plants

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 4 - Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. debtor Fleetwood Travel Trailers of Oregon, Inc.'s $4.2 million sale of its two travel trailer plants located in Pendleton, Ore., to Keystone RV Co. was approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

As previously reported, the assets being sold include 21.24 acres, two manufacturing plants, buildings, improvements, machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials and other assets.

The sale required that any initial overbid be at least $50,000 more than the proposed purchase price and must include a $150,000 deposit. There were no overbids, according to an attorney close to the case.

Based in Riverside, Calif., Fleetwood produces, distributes and services recreational vehicles and manufactured housing. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 10, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-14254.
