Fitch lifts Kerr-McGee from junk

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded Kerr-McGee Corp.'s issuer default, senior unsecured credit facility and senior unsecured notes to BBB from BB and removed them from rating watch positive, where they were placed on June 23.

The outlook is negative.

The agency said the upgrade follows the parental guarantee of the debt provided by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. last week.
