California County Tobacco defeases $82.45 million of Kern County bonds

Norfolk, Va., Nov. 6 – The California County Tobacco Securitization Agency defeased $82,445,000 of its Kern County Tobacco Funding Corp. series 2002 tobacco settlement asset-backed bonds, according to a notice.

The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Dec. 1:

• $40.96 million of series 2002A bonds due June 1, 2043;

• $12,475,000 of series 2002B bonds due June 1, 2029; and

• $29.01 million of series 2002B bonds due June 1, 2037.

U.S. Bank NA is the escrow agent.
