S&P may upgrade Kerasotes

Standard & Poor's said it placed the B- corporate credit rating for Kerasotes Showplace Theatres Holdings LLC on CreditWatch with positive implications.

The possible upgrade reflects AMC Entertainment Inc.'s agreement to purchase the assets of Kerasotes.

The action is based on AMC's stronger credit measures, along with its broader business base and better liquidity, according to the agency.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to repay debt.
