Fitch gives Kent Konut B

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Kent Konut AS long-term foreign and local currency ratings of B.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings are based on Kent Konut's strong link with its shareholder, the Metropolitan Municipality of Kocaeli, given the former's public sector legal status, the agency said.

The ratings also reflect Kocaeli's tight control over Kent Konut and the importance of the entity in the provision of social housing in the Metropolitan Municipal area, Fitch noted.
