S&P affirms Kemper

S&P said it affirmed its ratings on Kemper Corp., United Insurance Co. of America, Reliable Life Insurance Co. and Union National Life Insurance Co.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the rating reflects a view of the group's strong competitive position based on its long-standing presence in the home-services industry, controlled distribution and relative operating outperformance as measured by return on assets when compared to other life insurance companies.
