Moody’s assigns Kellogg notes Baa2

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to $500 million of 10-year senior unsecured notes being offered by Kellogg Co.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including to reduce average commercial paper balances outstanding and to repay a portion of the $601 million 4% unsecured notes that mature on Dec. 15.

The outlook is stable.
