KB Toys posts $2.5 million November loss on sales of $115.49 million

Washington, Dec. 31 - KB Toys Inc. posted a $2.5 million loss on sales of $115.49 million in November, according to the company's monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Monday.

In October, the company reported a $16.34 million loss on sales of $58.4 million.

The operating loss for the Pittsfield, Mass.-based toy retailer was $2.24 million compared with $24.85 million in October.

Since filing for bankruptcy on Jan. 14, KB Toys has lost $141 million on sales of $707.5 million with an operating loss of $150.3 million.

Cash and cash equivalents on Nov. 27 were $27.57 million compared with $6.06 million on Oct. 30.

The company's Chapter 11 case number is 04-10120.
