KB Toys posts profit of $21.13 million in December
New York, Jan. 31 - KB Toys Inc. recorded a profit of $21.13 million in the month to Jan. 1 on sales of $245.89 million, according to the company's monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Monday.
In November, the company had reported a $2.5 million loss on sales of $115.49 million.
The Pittsfield, Mass.-based toy retailer had operating income of $36.53 million in December.
Cash and cash equivalents on Jan. 1 were $107.77 million compared with $27.57 million on Nov. 27.
The company's Chapter 11 case number is 04-10120.
