Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas buys back KZT 33.72 billion 7% bonds due 2013

Madison, Wis., June 24 - NC KazMunayGas (Astana) said it bought back 33,719,863 units, or KZT 33.72 billion principal amount, of its 7% bonds due 2013 on June 20.

As of June 24, KZT 220 billion of the KZT 248.65 billion original principal amount of bonds remains outstanding.

The 7% bonds were repurchased with proceeds from a new issue of bonds.

KazMunayGas is Kazakhstan's state-owned oil and gas company.
