Amkor Technology to price $525 million 8.5-year notes on Wednesday

By Paul A. Harris

Portland, Ore., March 12 – Amkor Technology, Inc. plans to price $525 million of 8.5-year senior notes (current ratings B1/BB) on Wednesday, according to market sources.

The offering was scheduled to be shopped on a late Tuesday morning conference call with investors.

The notes come with initial price indications of 6¼% to 6½%, a bond trader said.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and BofA Merrill Lynch are the joint bookrunners.

The Rule 144A for life and Regulation S notes become callable after three years at par plus 75% of the coupon.

The Chandler, Ariz.-based semiconductor company plans to use the proceeds to refinance its existing senior notes.
