New Issue: Amkor Technology upsizes 10-year notes to $400 million, priced at par to yield 9¼%

St. Louis, May 11 - Amkor Technology, Inc. priced an upsized $400 million issue of 10-year senior notes (Caa1/CCC+) at par to yield 9¼% on Thursday, according to a market source.
The yield came at the tight end of the 9¼% to 9 3/8% price talk.
Citigroup ran the books for the registered issue.
Proceeds will be used in part to fund a tender for up to $271 million of the company's 9¼% senior notes due 2008.
The issue was upsized from $300 million.
The issuer is a Chandler, Ariz., provider of semiconductor packaging and test services.
