S&P drops KazMunaiGas Exploration outlook to negative

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production to negative from stable.

At the same time, the agency said that the BB+ long-term corporate credit rating on the company was affirmed, adding that the outlook revision follows those on the sovereign and on the company's 58% parent, 100% state-owned holding JSC NC KazMunayGas (BBB-/negative).

According to S&P, the rating on KazMunaiGas Exploration is based on a top-down approach and is one notch below that on KazMunaiGas.
