Moody's rates Temir Zholy notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a definitive Baa3 senior unsecured bond rating to the $700 million 6.375% notes due 2020 issued by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Finance BV , a finance company jointly owned by JSC National Co. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and subsidiary, JSC Kaztemirtrans.

The proposed notes are guaranteed by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and its main operating subsidiaries Kaztemirtrans and JSC Lokomotiv.

The outlook is stable.

The rating confirms the provisional rating assigned in September, Moody's said.

The proceeds are to be lent by the issuer to members of the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy group and used by them for general corporate purpose, including refinancing needs, investments and working capital funding, the agency said.
