New Issue: Kazakhstan places KZT 3 billion 7% treasury bonds due 2023 at 91.4473 to yield 8.9%

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 29 – The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it sold KZT 3 billion of long-term treasury bonds due 2023 (Meukam-108, 11th issue) at a special trading session held on Monday.

The 7% bonds were sold at a “clean” price of 91.4473, corresponding to a yield of 8.9%.

The amount of accepted orders represents 60% of the issuer’s planned placement of KZT 5 billion of bonds. The ministry issued an initial KZT 4.7 billion of the bonds in August 2014.
