New Issue: Kazakhstan issues KZT 8.37 billion more 5% treasury bonds due 2020

Madison, Wis., Sept. 5 – The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it accepted orders for another KZT 8.37 billion of 5% long-term treasury bonds (Meukam-108, sixth issue) on Friday.

The ministry said this brings the total size of the issue to KZT 24.1 billion. The original KZT 14.64 billion of nine-year bonds settled on May 23, 2011, and an additional KZT 1.1 billion was placed on Sept. 3.

The newest bonds were auctioned at a net price of 93.5269 for proceeds of KZT 7.94 billion to yield 6.38%.

Active orders were submitted for KZT 12.52 billion of bonds. The amount of accepted orders represents 42% of the issuer’s planned issuance of KZT 20 billion of bonds.
