New Issue: Kazakhstan sells KZT 22.08 billion more 5.3% treasury bonds due 2023

Madison, Wis., March 12 - The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it accepted orders for another KZT 22.08 billion of 5.3% long-term treasury bonds (Meukam-144, third issue) on Wednesday.

The ministry said this brings the total size of the issue to KZT 55.13 billion. The initial KZT 15 billion of 12-year treasury bonds settled on April 26, 2011, and an additional KZT 18.05 billion of the bonds settled on Feb. 12.

The newest bonds were auctioned at a net price of 90.0269 for proceeds of KZT 20.91 billion to yield 6.8%.

Active orders were received for KZT 31.12 billion of bonds. The net price on submitted orders ranged from 88.7959 to 91.2796, and the yield ranged from 6.6% to 7%.

The amount of accepted orders represents 110% of the issuer's planned issuance of KZT 20 billion of bonds.
