New Issue: Kazakhstan auctions KZT 9.61 billion more 7.22% treasury bonds due 2028

Madison, Wis., Jan. 23 - The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it accepted orders for another KZT 9.61 billion of 7.22% long-term treasury bonds (Meukam-180, ninth issue) on Wednesday.

The ministry said this brings the total size of the issue to KZT 12.61 billion. The original KZT 3 billion of 15-year bonds settled on Dec. 10.

The newest bonds were auctioned at a net price of 99.9743 for proceeds of KZT 9.69 billion to yield 7.22%.

Active orders were received for KZT 9.7 billion of bonds. The net price on active orders ranged from 99.9743 to 104.7810, and the yields ranged from 6.7% to 7.22%.

The amount of accepted orders represents 68.6% of the issuer's planned placement of KZT 14 billion of bonds.
