New Issue: Kazakhstan auctions KZT 18.5 billion more 4½% treasury bonds due 2017

Madison, Wis., Jan. 9 - The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it accepted orders for an additional KZT 18.5 billion of 4½% mid-term treasury bonds (Meokam-60, 44th issue) on Wednesday.

The ministry said this brings the total size of the issue to KZT 29.63 billion. The initial KZT 10.3 billion of bonds settled on Sept. 5, an additional KZT 333.33 million settled on Sept. 14 and another KZT 500 million settled on Sept. 24.

The newest five-year bonds were auctioned at a net price of 95.9349 for proceeds of KZT 18.03 billion to yield 5½%.

Active orders were received for KZT 22.67 billion of bonds. The net price on submitted orders ranged from 90.2031 to 96.4117.

The amount of accepted orders represents 185% of the issuer's planned issuance of KZT 10 billion of bonds.
