New Issue: Kazakhstan auctions KZT 12.2 billion more 5.3% treasury bonds due 2016

Madison, Wis., Dec. 14 - The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it accepted orders for an additional KZT 12.2 billion of 5.3% mid-term treasury bonds (Meokam-48, 49th issue) on Friday.

The ministry said this brings the total size of the issue to KZT 15.75 billion. The initial KZT 3.55 billion of four-year bonds settled on Nov. 5.

The newest bonds were auctioned at a net price of 99.9941 for total proceeds of KZT 12.27 billion to yield 5.3%.

Active orders were received for KZT 21.74 billion of bonds. The net price on submitted orders ranged from 97.5957 to 100.3425, with yields ranging from 5.2% to 6%.

The amount of accepted orders represents 174.3% of the issuer's planned issuance of KZT 7 billion of bonds.
