Kazakhstan places no add-on mid-term treasury bonds at Nov. 23 auction

By Marisa Wong

Madison, Wis., Nov. 26 - The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry said it auctioned no additional 3% mid-term treasury bonds (Meokam-24, 83rd issue) at a special trading session held on Nov. 23 due to unfavorable prices on submitted orders.

The issuer had intended to place a KZT 5 billion add-on to the KZT 7.61 billion of two-year bonds that settled on Nov. 2.

Active orders were received for KZT 2.9 billion of bonds. The net prices on submitted orders ranged from 96.3407 to 97.239, and yields ranged from 4½% to 5%.
