Gamco, Gabelli up stake in Katy Industries to 20.79%

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 29 - Katy Industries, Inc. investors led by Gamco Investors, Inc. and Gabelli Funds, LLC purchased an additional 104,300 shares of the company's common stock between Nov. 12 and Nov. 28 for $0.86 to $1.45 each.

With the purchase, the reporting persons increase their stake in the company to 20.79% from 19.5%. Gamco and Gabelli beneficially own 1,653,383 shares of Katy stock.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Middlebury, Conn.-based Katy is a diversified manufacturing company that makes maintenance and electrical products.
