Fitch affirms Katowice

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the Polish City of Katowice's long-term foreign currency and local currency ratings at A-.

The outlook is stable.

According to Fitch, the ratings reflect Katowice's strong economy, sound operating performance, high liquidity and low debt.

The ratings also consider indirect risk stemming from the restructuring of the indebted and inefficient health care sector and the fact that the city does not take advantage of its significant investment capacity, the agency added.
