Fitch rates Kapital Bank

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Kapital Bank ratings of long-term B+, short-term B, individual D/E and support 4.

The outlook on the long-term rating is stable.

Kapital's long-term, short-term and support ratings reflect Fitch's view of the limited probability of support being forthcoming, in case of need, from its only shareholder, the Azeri Ministry of Finance.

Fitch said the individual rating takes into account Kapital's small size, basic risk management tools that are yet to be tested, customer concentrations both in lending and funding and the limited franchise due to a short history of commercial banking operations.

However, it also considers the bank's currently acceptable asset quality and profitability, the agency added.
