Moody's gives Aa2/VMIG1 to Kansas highway bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned ratings of Aa2/VMIG1 to the Kansas Department of Transportation's planned issuance of $150.78 million of adjustable tender highway revenue bonds, series 2008A.

In connection with that action, Moody's said it affirmed the underlying Aa2 rating and stable outlook to the department's $1.74 billion of parity debt.

Sale of the bonds is expected on May 6.

The outlook is stable.
