S&P may up Kansas City Southern

Standard & Poor's said it placed the B corporate credit rating and other long-term ratings on Kansas City Southern on CreditWatch with positive implications.

"The rating action reflects potential debt reduction, as well as an improved capital structure and liquidity position pro forma for KCS' proposed equity offering," S&P analyst Anita Ogbara said in a statement.
