New Issue: Aminex secures £4.42 million from private placement of shares

Atlanta, June 3 - Aminex plc said it has raised £4,419,600 in a private placement of stock.

The company sold 50.8 million shares at 8.7p each to institutional investors.

Oriel Securities Ltd. and Davy Stockbrokers are the placement agents.

In other news, Aminex said it has established an open offer to its qualifying shareholders for 24,973,433 shares on the basis of one share for every four existing shares at 8.7p each for potential proceeds of £2,172,688.

The proceeds from both the private placement and the open offering will be used for expenses related to the company's Tanzanian and North Korean properties, development drilling and working capital.

Based in London, Aminex is an oil and natural gas exploration company.
