Kansas City Power & Light pricing $300 million 10-year notes Monday

Virginia Beach, Va., March 11 - Kansas City Power & Light Co. is selling $300 million 10-year notes (Baa2/BBB/) Monday, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Merrill Lynch and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA) Inc. are the joint bookrunners, while BNP Mellon Capital Markets LLC and Scotiabank are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used to repay all or a portion of the company's outstanding commercial paper and for general corporate purposes.

The electric utility is based in Kansas City, Mo.
