Amicas investor Gamco buys 361,600 shares

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 21 - A group of Amicas, Inc. investors led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. increased their ownership interest to 6.50% from 5.48% with the purchase of 361,600 shares between Dec. 18 and Jan. 20.

The shares were priced from $1.6035 to $1.8199 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between Oct. 29 and Dec. 17, Gamco bought 444,100 shares of Amicas at prices from $1.3600 to $1.9368 each, a prior SEC filing said.

Gamco beneficially owns 2,301,580 shares of the company's outstanding stock.

Based in Boston, Amicas provides radiology services and medical image and information management solutions in the United States.
