Moody's rates Kaiser notes Ba3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba3 rating to Kaiser Aluminum Corp.'s proposed $200 million senior unsecured notes due 2020.

Moody's also assigned a Ba3 corporate family rating and a Ba3 probability of default rating to Kaiser.

In addition, a speculative grade liquidity rating of SGL-1 was assigned, indicating very good liquidity.

The outlook is stable.

Proceeds from the transaction will be used for general corporate purposes, which Moody's said it believes are likely to include acquisitions and expansion projects.
