Kabel Deutschland seeks loan amendment to extend some maturities

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, Jan. 12 - Kabel Deutschland GmbH is looking to amend its senior secured credit facility to extend up to €1.3 billion of the debt to March 2014, according to a 6-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

In addition, the amendment would increase the company's flexibility for potential acquisitions and reduce restrictions on new borrowings for the refinancing of existing senior secured debt.

Lenders representing about 47% of the credit facility by value have already indicated their support for the amendment.

Consents are due on Jan. 29, with an early bird deadline of Jan. 22.

Kabel Deutschland is a German cable television operator.
