ITV repays £138 million of its £200 million 2019 bilateral loan

Minneapolis, March 6 - ITV plc announced that it has repaid £138 million of its £200 million 2019 bilateral loan, according to a filing with the London Stock Exchange.
Total savings in adjusted financing costs are expected to be around £50 million over the remainder of the loan - around £9 million on an annualized basis - and will result in an exceptional loss of £38 million.
"This repayment is consistent with our aim to increase the efficiency of our balance sheet and to make the best use of our cash," ITV group finance director Ian Griffiths said in the filing.
ITV is a London-based media company.
