San Diego, Oct. 7 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $5.96 million of 0% leveraged index fund-linked notes due Oct. 15, 2013 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any gain in the fund, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,800 per $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will be fully exposed to losses if the fund declines.
The initial index fund level of $34.944 is lower than the actual closing level of $35.72 on the pricing date.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
