New Issue: Scotiabank sells $49.82 million capped buffered enhanced notes on iShares MSCI EM

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 18 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $49.82 million of capped buffered enhanced participation notes due Sept. 19, 2019 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any ETF gain, up to a maximum payment of $1,222.40 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the ETF falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

The agent is Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. with Goldman, Sachs & Co. as dealer.
