Bank of Montreal plans buffered bullish notes linked to MSCI EM fund

Norfolk, Va., Nov. 20 – Bank of Montreal plans to price buffered bullish enhanced return notes due Feb. 28, 2017, linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any fund gain, up to a maximum return of $1,230 to $1,250 per $1,000 of notes. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 5% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 5%.

The notes will price on Nov. 24 and settle on Nov. 30.

The Cusip number is 06366R4R3.
