RBC plans three-year trigger gears linked to iShares MSCI EAFE fund

Chicago, Oct. 16 – Royal Bank of Canada plans to price 0% trigger gears due Oct. 30, 2020 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 131% to 141% of any fund gain.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 20% and will be fully exposed to any losses if the fund finishes below its 80% downside threshold.

RBC Capital Markets, LLC and UBS Financial Services Inc. are the agents.

The notes will price on Oct. 26.

The Cusip number is 78013F412.
