Wells Fargo plans market-tied notes with leverage on iShares MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Jan. 17 – Wells Fargo & Co. plans to price 0% market linked securities with leveraged upside participation to a cap and fixed percentage downside due Jan. 31, 2019 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 14%.
Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 25% to 29% and will be exposed to any losses beyond the buffer, with the exact percentage to be set at pricing.

The Cusip number is 94986R3R0.
