New Issue: Morgan Stanley sells $3.6 million 5.6% buffered securities linked to ETF, index

Morgantown, W.Va., Dec. 12 – Morgan Stanley priced $3.6 million of 5.6% fixed-income buffered securities due May 7, 2018 linked to the lesser performing of the Russell 2000 index and the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Interest is payable monthly.
The payout at maturity will be par unless either asset finishes below 80% of its initial level, in which case investors will lose 1.25% for every 1% decline in the basket beyond the 20% buffer.
