New Issue: RBC prices $1.48 million buffered enhanced return notes tied to iShares MSCI EAFE

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 12 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $1.48 million of 0% buffered enhanced return notes due Nov. 28, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any gain, up to a maximum payout of $1,140 for each $1,000 of notes.
Investors will receive par if the ETF falls by up to 24% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 24%.
