New Issue: HSBC prices $2.74 million barrier digital return notes tied to S&P 500, EAFE fund

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 14 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $2.74 million of 0% barrier digital return notes due Nov. 17, 2017 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 6.75% unless either underlying closes below its 60% barrier any day during the life of the notes, in which case investors will receive par if the final level of each underlying is at or above its initial level and will be exposed to any loss of the lesser-performing asset.
