Goldman Sachs to price leveraged notes linked to iShares MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 17 – Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged notes due Jan. 9, 2017 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the ETF return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times the ETF return. If the ETF return is negative, investors will have one-to-one exposure to the decline.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The notes are expected to price Sept. 18 and settle Sept. 23.

The Cusip number is 38147QH41.
