Interstate Bakeries posts $3.33 million EBITDA loss for four weeks ended April 1

Pittsburgh, May 17 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. reported an EBITDA loss of $3.33 million for the four weeks ended April 1 on gross revenue profit of $113.42 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

For the four weeks ended March 4, the company posted EBITDA of $2.76 million on gross revenue profit of $112.93 million.

The net loss for the period ended April 1 was $15.19 million, slipping from a $10.05 million net loss in the previous period.

Cash on April 1 was $96.02 million, compared with $98.61 million on March 4.

The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
